Shephards Delight by ArtlessHmmmm Shephards Delight by ArtlessHmmmm
This photo taken approx 20 days ago is thanks to my wonderful bro. At about 9.30pm he walks into the living room sayin "Look outside, theres a fantastic sunset if you want to go chase it!" So i took his advice and i did (only to get stuck in a near by estate and loose sight of it as buildings got in the way!) This photo however was taken out my bedroom window before going. Borrowing my mums automatic until my insurance is sorted... result of this is the colour didn't come out quite right so i've edited it very slightly (gamma, brightness, contrast) to bring it back to the original stunning sky it was!

Red sky at night,
Shephards delight.
Red sky in the morning,
Shephards warning.

(i know what i want to find now!!!)

Why thankyou! That means alot - that you pick it out from among the many you see! Out of interest is that on Deviant etc.. or the real sun outside?

he he - indeed we do! apperently they are more likely to occur when there is high humidity and when it is dusty or the air is full of particles to disperse the suns light so there you go!

They're so great :) Do you know how you can see if there'll be a sunset like this one? With lots of colours? Humidity. If the humidity is high, the air is more wet and the sky will turn orange, red or what else. So if it'll rain, the sunset'll be nice :) By the way, you could submit this shot to the contest of *sunsets :) You've got my vote!

A sunset like what? D'you mean with humidity? I just learned it. But the weather forecast shows me that on sunday it'll rain :) A bit strange: 'It rains, let's go out and photograph the sunset' :p

Really rather good ;) though by the colour of it, it looks to me like brightness and contrast have been played around with rather a lot :P sunsets are tricky to capture in exactly the way you remember seeing them though, unless maybe you use RAW format and then tweak like crazy, though I'm still unsure as to the mysteries of RAW.

Pretty nice composition with the tree, whenever I see a nice tree it always seems to have other trees behind it spoiling the view. Confounding me at every turn!

I think I remember that night, I was driving a mate back from karate n there were all these purdy golden clouds all over the place.

Good job.
